Chocolate Cream Pie with Walnut Pie Crust

- 1 Diamond of California® Ready to Use Walnut Pie Crust
- 1-1/4 cups half & half
- 1 tsp unflavored gelatin
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
The Steps
- Unfold foil edge of pie crust, remove and set aside pie lid.
- Pour half & half in a medium pot. Sprinkle gelatin on top.
- Whisk gently to minimize clumps. Allow to soften for about 5 minutes.
- Place half & half gelatin mixture on medium heat for about 4 minutes.
- While stirring half & half gelatin mixture, add milk chocolate chips. Stir slowly until chocolate is fully melted.
- Remove from heat. Add vanilla extract, stir.
- Carefully and slowly, pass mixture through a mesh strainer into Diamond of California Walnut Pie Crust.
- Gently move filled crust into chilled refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish as you desire! Serve and enjoy!
