- 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar sifted
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder sifted
- 1 cup heavy cream cold
- 2 TBSP powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Chocolate Whipped Cream
- 1 cup heavy whipped cream
- 5 1/2 TBSP powdered sugar
- 3 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- strawberries washed & cut in half
- chopped walnuts for decoration
- mini chocolate chips for decoration
The Steps
Chocolate Pie
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Bake the pie crust for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.
2. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese on high for 1 minute. Add in sifted powdered sugar
and cocoa powder. Mix on low until combined. Then, turn to high and beat for 1 minute.
3. Freeze metal bowl and whisk attachment for 10 minutes. This makes it easier to whip up
whipped cream. Combined heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in cold bowl. Beat on high
until stiff peaks forms.
4. Pour whipped cream on the cream cheese mixture. Use a rubber spatula to fold in the whipped
cream gently. This takes a few minutes to combine. Keep mixing until creamy and soft.
5. Pour chocolate pie into pie crust. Cover and chill for 8 hours or overnight in the fridge.
Chocolate Whipped Cream
1. Freeze metal bowl and whisk attachments for 10 minutes. Combine heavy cream, powdered
sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla in cold bowl. Beat on high until stiff peaks form. Once it
reaches soft peaks, scrape the bowl and beat until there are stiff peaks.
2. Top the pie with the chocolate whipped cream. Top with strawberries, chopped walnuts, and
mini chocolate chips. Keep pie stored in the fridge.
