Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup Diamond of California® Walnut Halves, finely chopped
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups frosting
- Sprinkles (optional)
The Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and grease a 10 x 15 inch sheet pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, fulling incorporating between each addition. Add the vanilla
- Combine the walnuts, flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
- Press the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
- Allow the cookie to cool completely before frosting and topping with sprinkles. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
