Ingredients

  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 2 cups chocolate frosting
  • 2 cups Diamond of California® Chopped Pecans
  • 5 Milano Cookies
  • 10 candy pumpkins
  • 10 pieces of candy corn
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow fluff
  • round, orange sprinkles

The Steps

  1. Prepare chocolate cake according to package instructions in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely, then spread frosting over the top.
  3. Cover the frosting completely with the chopped pecans.
  4. Use a food-safe black pen or melted chocolate to write on the Milano cookies, then use the cookies, pumpkins and candy corn to create a graveyard scene on the top of the cake.
  5. Place the marshmallow fluff in a piping bag fitted with a small, round tip. Pipe 4 small mounds on the cake to create ghosts. Use orange sprinkles or melted chocolate to create eyes.
