The holidays are my favorite time of year. I love getting together with family, shopping for the perfect gifts and bundling up in warm sweaters and scarfs. But, there’s nothing quite like putting on some holiday music and fuzzy socks for a day of cookie baking!
My favorite holiday cookies to bake are sugar cookies, but I always make sure to pick a recipe or two that I haven’t baked before to mix things up. This year, it was easy to choose new recipes because we teamed up with some amazing bloggers to host a cookie exchange. The bloggers baked their favorite holiday cookie and each shipped batches to one another. Check out the delicious recipes they shared!

My favorite holiday cookie is Spritz cookies!
My sister sends me cookies every year for Christmas, and one of them is very similar to the double chocolate with pecans. She also sends one with cranberries and walnuts that is very good. They are all delicious, so it is hard to pick a favorite.
Russian Tea Cakes are my favorite Christmas cookie!!
My favorite holiday cookie is Date Nut Pinwheel. They are very addictive
One of my very favorite holiday baked good is mini Pecan Tarts. I love that the pan I have makes 24 at once. Making my own I can add as many chopped pecans as I like along with mini chocolate chips. It’s really easy to warm them and serve with mini scoops of French Vanilla Ice Cream.
My favorite holiday cookie is a Snickerdoodle.
My favorite holiday cookie is pecan snowballs.

I’m the baker in the family, my favorite cookie is my double chocolate chip walnut cookies, slightly crisp edges with a gooey center. So good!!!!
I don’t see my post that I made earlier – I love a recipe my mom got back in the early 70’s from a co-worker of my dad’s. It for a chocolate date bar that you make in a jelly roll pan and it has walnuts in it. After cutting into squares you shake them in a baggie of confectioners sugar. They are so decadent.

Many years ago, my grandmother used to make a fudge/oatmeal/walnut cookie and sadly, I’ve list the recipe. It was made like you were making a regular batch of fudge from scratch. After reaching the soft boil stage, you’d add Quaker Oats and chopped walnuts then drop by spoonful on wax paper or parchment paper. There was no baking. I’ve forgotten the measurements, amounts, proportions, etc. Anyone have that recipe and willing to share it?
